Wholehearted

Description

Inspired by a drawing of lotus flowers Monique had done for her Garden Daydreams colouring book, the hearts ‘just happened’ but they do work well with the petal shapes.  It uses the following stitches and techniques:

• 11 embroidery stitches/stitch variations
• 1 bead embroidery stitch

Finished size is 185 mm diameter

All of the stitches and techniques are to be found in the Freestyle Embroidered Mandalas book.  There are also detail instructions, often with the video clips, in the Resources area in the workroom.

• The line drawing of the design screen-printed onto 400 x 400 mm Winter White Cotton Linen blend base fabric with cotton voile backing overlocked around the edges.
