In Fine Feather

Description

Monique often uses feathers in her work as they are very meaningful to her, so this book wouldn’t be complete without a feather mandala. Her drawing of a dream catcher in her coloring book ‘Winged Daydreams’, was the starting point for this design.   It uses the following stitches and techniques:

• 4 embroidery stitches/stitch variations
• 3 bead embroidery stitches

Finished size is 275 mm diameter

All of the stitches and techniques are to be found in the Freestyle Embroidered Mandalas book.  There are also detail instructions, often with the video clips, in the Resources area in the workroom.

• The line drawing of the design screen-printed onto 400 x 400 Winter White Cotton Linen blend base fabric with cotton voile backing overlocked around the edges.
