Description
This project is based on the traditional Chinese depiction of a pheasant, a bird often interchanged with the phoenix as an emblem of beauty and good fortune in Chinese culture.
This colourful project uses of a wide range of interesting techniques and stitches as under:
- 32 embroidery stitches/stitch variations
- 5 bead embroidery stitches
- 2 needle weaving patterns

Finished size is 310 x 280 mm

All of the stitches and techniques are to be found in the Crewel Birds book. There are also detail instructions, often with the video clips, in the Resources area in the workroom.
