Not unlike reverse chain stitch with some additional side stitches, wheatear stitch is used in many of our embroidery projects and is also useful for crazy patchwork. Apart from the basic stitch, there are two variations of this stich provided in this mini-workshop.
Whilst thicker thread is used in the video clip on the tuition page, this was for clarity. The type of thread and the size of the needles you would normally use for this stitch are spoken about in the instructions.
