Single Weaving Filler Stitch

R50.00

Product Description

This stitch came about when I was trying to think up something that I could do to give the impression of shading without using a stitch that would create a solid block of colour. I was a great fan of Mad Magazine when I was a teenager and from the deep, dark depths of my memory came the idea that the cartoonists used carelessly drawn vertical and horizontal grids to give the impression of a shadow. This is my version and quite apart from creating shadows, it’s an easy technique and can be used to fill an entire shape, or incorporated very usefully into random freestyle stitching.

In the video clip on the tuition page, the small sample is worked with perle #5 variegated thread on a 30 mm diameter circle.  Instructions are provided on the tuition page and there is also a downloadable and printable PDF document with the same instructions and illustrations as well as a template for the working sample.

The 5¼ minute video tuition clip is filmed in high resolution and is accompanied with voice over instructions to guide you through the learning process.

Purchase it now and you will be sent the link and password to enter the private domain where you will find this video instruction.
