Satin Stitch

R120.00

Product Description

This is one of the more difficult stitches to get right.  There are a number of reasons why people battle with it and perhaps the tips that I provide in this mini-workshop will help you get perfect satin stitch.  It gives you lots of points to consider – points that seem petty but are, in fact, important for a great finished product – and it uses that wonderful ‘blue dot’ method.

It includes fanned satin stitch, vertical and diagonal satin stitching along with a small diagonal satin stitch leaf, satin stitch blocks (one of my favourite ways to introduce lots of colour) and 2 styles of padding.

Whilst normally worked with a single strand of cotton, the video samples have been worked with perle #5 thread, for the sake of clarity.  Each sample is worked on a different shape and templates for these shapes are provided in the downloadable PDF instructions accessible on the page.

Once you have worked through the samples using the diagrams and instructions, in tandem with the video clip on the tuition page, you might find that it will improve your satin stitch and if it does, you should be in a position to use this stitch more fruitfully in your embroidery projects.  No matter what style of embroidery you do, you will probably need to do satin stitch somewhere on most projects.

The 33 minute video tuition clip is filmed in high resolution and is accompanied by voice over instructions to guide you through the learning process.

Purchase it now and you will be sent the link and password to enter the private domain where you will find this mini-workshop.
