A canvaswork stitch modified for use in surface embroidery, Rhodes stitch if a fabulous little circle (or oval, or square if you like) that can be used in a number of ways from the centre of a flower to the eye of a feather, with many possibilities in between.
In the video clip on the tuition page, the technique is worked with perle no. 5 thread on circle measuring 10 mm in diameter that is quartered for mapping out purposes. Instructions are provided on the tuition page and there is also a downloadable and printable PDF document with the same instructions and illustrations as well as a template for the 30 mm circle.
