Working from the Encyclopedia of Needlework by T.H. de Dillmont, originally published in the late 19th century, Hazel Blomkamp has compiled all of the needle lace techniques which she considers suitable for use as embroidery techniques into one handy stitch book. Each page (or two pages) is devoted to a single technique. Each technique is described with a clear diagram and point by point written instructions. For ease of reference, the book is wire-bound so that pages can be turned over without damage and it is about the size of a shorthand notebook so that it is easy to have next to you as you stitch.
