Made in the Czech Republic, Fire-polished beads are handmade glass beads subjected to a process used in making glass beads to smooth the glass by reheating the item to remove tool marks or other imperfections in the surface. Those with an AB finish have an iridescent coating that give a multi-coloured shimmer. Fire-polished beads are a good alternative to the more expensive lead crystals.
